Hopefully the recent post from the art team helps calm some people down. There's no issue raising concerns over the art design, or anything else, but it's disappointing to see so many people essentially just saying "WTF this looks terrible, what are devs smoking?". I just think that tone is super important in sharing constructive feedback. They run a risk by showing such early gameplay for exactly the reason that this thread shows: "Anyone else feel COH3 was a bit meh?" suggests that the OP has judged the entirety of COH3 as a finished product already. You're absolutely right in that we should be giving feedback on the game - that is the devs hope by presenting what is clearly work in progress. in WW2 ? Saying "its alpha" in answer to all this kind of misses the point as Relic themselves say in the long developer video at the start of the game that they are actively looking for this kind of feedback. Plus when you start the tutorial this fellow pops up in what looks like a video link window. Yes, cartoony colours are not right at all. This is the alpha and I hope there will be many many more improvements to graphics, storyline, missions and gameplay, but we shall see. Seems tedious and not really what COH is about. The maps were all very small, not much to do and not really well planned out imo. I understand italy and Africa are yellow with sands and sun but, luminosity was a bit garish.ΔΆ. What is with all the cartoony colours? make it more realistic. Should have seen the excitement in my face when I found out there was an alpha. The way COH2 did it was much better with Ardenne Forest. a lot of repeat battles and I understand the concept of a storyline, yet I still felt that the missions had no story line. I feel the game play and maps were very small. I feel the dynamics of COH2 are far far more superior than within this alpha game. I have repeatedly payed COH1 and COH2 with expansions over 200 times with the missions and game. I have been a massive fan of the COH franchise for many years.
